At Harvard Medical School this past May 2011, Dr. Atul Gwande, a renowned surgeon and author, delivered an excellent quality commencement speech in for the 2011 graduates that touched on the importance of quality management systems. We gained great insight into the medical process systems, as did the departing graduates from Harvard Medical School this year, and quoted some particularly relevant sections of his speech.
